Saddness of warfare

by Roberta Lee Small
Heroes
Why am I here and who made this planThat I lie here a lion, a buck, or a bear

Struck down in my youth ne'er to be man

Tomorrow, the future, I never will share
A lover or husband I never will be

A child of my own I never will

my Insperational quote

"Nobody is perfect, that is why pencils have erasers". Author Unknown

To me this is saying settle for average. I say if you can go for the best, go for it. I am going to refute this quote. There are some perfect people out there, it just depends on how you look at it.

I choose this quote becomes it motivates me to do better, to be the best.

  1. Always go for the best

  2. Do not settle for good

  3. No slacking off

Career

Time at organization: About 5 years

Proudest career accomplishment: having her dessert chosen for the American Culinary Federation. It is a dinner that all the famous chefs come to and her dessert was served to them.

Greatest influence: her parents. They taught her good work ethics and pushed her to always do better. They were always hard on her but she respects them for that and it made her a tougher person in the industry.

Tips for high school students considering pastry chef: Study hard, especially art. Be creative and do not hold back your ideas, don’t stop at just one opportunity; seek out multiple chances to be a success.

Job

How did you know that you were a success: she knew that she was successful when people started calling her to work for them and do their wedding cakes for them. She didn't have to look for a job anymore. They found her.

What is the next big thing you want to do: she wants to finish graduate school and open her own small cafe. It has been a dream of hers to own her, own place.

If you could change one of your past life decisions, what would it be: she would change that she took a break from school. She wishes that she would have finished earlier. It would have made her life easier.

What team did you work with or what team worked for you: she worked by her self most of the time but if needed, she would hire one or two other people to help her.
What was your budget: The clients would tell her how much they were willing to spend on their function and she would work with them. Her wedding cake prices started at $1100.00

Teen Depression, Are you depressed

These are the bewildered voices of actual parents confronted with the moody, tense, or even hostile expressions and behaviors of their struggling teenagers. Emotionally, the teen years can be a roller coaster, sometimes a dangerously fast one. Teens throughout time have had to confront the onset of adolescence and the emotional, mental, and physical changes that go with puberty. On top of all these changes, today's teenagers have to worry about more than passing their driving tests and finding dates to the prom. Many also confront serious problems such as: surviving the trauma of broken homes, experimenting with drugs, escaping gang violence, and protecting themselves against AIDS and unwanted pregnancies.
